Delete your account

Last updated: 30 July 2026

You can delete your Hirdfit account from inside the app at any time. Deletion is immediate — there is no grace period, and we cannot restore your account for you afterwards. Copies of the database that we keep for disaster recovery expire within 7 days.

In the app

  1. Open Hirdfit and go to Profile.
  2. Under Your data, tap Export my data first if you want to keep a copy. You will get a single JSON file containing everything we hold.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm, then confirm again with your password or your Google account.

If your account is still waiting for approval, the same two actions are on the waiting screen — you do not need to be approved to take your data and leave.

If you can't sign in

Email privacy@hirdfit.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. We handle these manually and will respond within one month, usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

What is kept, and why

Records of payments you made. Polish tax law requires us to keep transaction records for five years. We keep the amount, the date and the payment reference, but your user identifier is replaced with an irreversible hash, so the record can no longer be traced back to you. Nothing else about you survives in the live service.

Disaster-recovery copies, for up to 7 days. We keep daily database snapshots and a 7-day point-in-time window so a fault on our side cannot lose everyone's training history. Your data disappears from these automatically as they expire. We never read them to restore an individual account, and we cannot selectively edit them — which is why the window is kept short.

Data held by the third parties listed in our Privacy Policy is governed by their own retention rules. In particular, deleting your Hirdfit account does not delete workouts in Hevy or activities in Strava — those are your accounts with those companies, and Hirdfit only ever read from them.

On your device

The app clears its local copy of your data when the account is deleted. Uninstalling the app removes anything left behind.
